Timber Frame Designer

Working directly with clients and our team to design and construct timber homes and structures including (but not limited to):

  • 3D conceptual renderings
  • Architectural working drawings
  • Close collaboration with team members in shop and building sites


  • Design diploma or architecture degree
  • Experience and interest in timber frame design, sustainable design principles and green building products
  • Demonstrated project management ability
  • Able to work in close collaboration with all team members
  • Proficient in CAD Works, REVIT or equivalent design software

Other Assets:

  • LEED, Passivhaus or similar certification
  • Construction management experience
  • Energy modelling
  • Design for pre-fabrication

Journeyman Carpenter:

Timber Frame Project Manager

Role Description:

The successful Project Manager will work closely with the rest of the team. There is significant opportunity to grow with the company in a supportive team environment. You’ll be coordinating with crews and liaising with clients from project start through to the finishing touches and completed product. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for sustainable building, who is an experienced project manager ready to add value immediately or a recent graduate oozing potential and motivated to learn!


  • Prepares detailed material lists/development of building packages (e.g. framing components, roof packages, windows & doors)
  • Coordinates with crew leads and clients on designs and installation
  • Acts as the resource person on building code requirements
  • Focuses on pre-fabrication and sustainable building principles and practices
  • Other project management related tasks as assigned


  • A diploma or degree in Project Management
  • Experience in timber design and green products an asset
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • LEED or Passive House certification an asset
  • Practical construction experiences an asset
  • Experience in designing for prefabrication
